Consultant Senior Statistical Programmer

 

Location: Office-based Edinburgh (option to be remote based for exceptional candidates)

Calling all experienced Statistical Programmers looking for a new challenge in 2020.  This is an exciting time in the Life Sciences industry which is undergoing a transformation with the introduction of Data Science technology, programming languages (Python/R) in addition to SAS® and data visualization applications.  The role of the traditional Statistical Programmer is evolving and programmers of the future will need to be fully conversant in these Data Science techniques and technology

       Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years performing clinical data analysis using SAS® including ISS/ISE
  • Minimum 2 years creating and validating SDTM & ADaM deliverables
  • Excellent problem solving ability and analytical skills
  • In depth-knowledge of drug development reporting processes
  • Proficiency in the creation and deciphering of complex macro code
  • Knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines, SOPs and industry regulations
  • At least 1 year experience working/liaising directly with clients
  • 3 years working within a CRO environment
  • Quality focused team player with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, time management and presentation skills
  • Experience working as part of a global team
  • Lead Programmer and some project management skills
  • Experience with Python/R desirable but not essential
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Maths/Statistics/Computer Science                                                                                                     (other degree’s with maths/statistics modules considered)
  • Applicants must be able to work and travel within Europe

 

The consultant role involves performing duties in a professional, courteous and timely manner.  Each consultant will perform to the best of their abilities and can call upon the full support of the wider in-house consultancy team when needed.  Each consultant is a subject matter expert for various topics and may also be required to act as a mentor to less experienced programmers.  By sharing knowledge and experience, each consultant will actively contribute to help increase the collective expertise within the whole organisation
